Biography

Liam Moran worked as a graduate research assistant in the Language Learning Laboratory as the multi-language G8 computer lab technical coordinator and the audio recording lab coordinator. The LLL was the IT unit supporting departments housed in the Literatures, Cultures, and Linguistics Building (nee Foreign Languages Building) and was absorbed into the college level ATLAS IT support unit in the mid aughts. He continued as a GA in the ATLAS Digital Media group, producing educational and event video, administering media servers, and developing software to support bulk media production and processing operations.

ATLAS Digital Media partnered with the Office of Continuing Education to provide campus-wide curricular and event media production services late in the aughts and was re-organized into the newly formed Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning in 2013. Liam continued providing Linux system administration, software development, media server administration, and media studio management services.

Liam returned to ATLAS in 2024 to support instruction-facing software development projects, initially focused on adapting the college-managed Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) cluster for use as a robust LTI tool integrated with the campus Canvas LMS.
