Agnes Akenou

Agnes Akenou is a senior majoring in Political Science in her third semester with the program. She initially found out about the program from department emails and newsletters and decided to join, seeking hands-on transferable skills that will allow her to stand out in the job market. Agnes is an assistant program coordinator for Data Explorers. One of her responsibilities is to guide and aid with the transition between coordinators to ensure the stability of the Data Explorers series. She is also responsible for keeping up communication with the DE leadership team and leading weekly meetings, which consists of making and uploading presentations each week. Through her extensive time in the program, she has become proficient in Microsoft Teams, Mediaspace, and Webtools. She has been able to improve her professional communication and time management, as well as fostered the ability to lead group meetings. From ATLAS, she has learned that preparation is necessary to succeed, and the more you prepare, the better off you will be. Upon graduating this spring, Agnes plans to pursue a career in intellectual property law. Outside of school, she loves to lift weights and exercise.
