Alexander Lau is a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science & Astronomy. He heard about the ATLAS internship program through the department newsletters and decided to join to develop skills in communication and programming in virtual reality, combining his programming knowledge by scripting in C# with game development through Unity. He found ATLAS as a great way to gain real-world work experience and build up his skills.

Alexander is a programmer for the ATLAS VR Team. He is responsible for conducting bug fixes for POINT VR and is planning to eventually perform more complicated debugging tasks in C#. He will also create a mammoth game with special AI that chases the user around the Illinois Quad for a Quad Games VR simulation. In addition, he is hiding an easter egg in the Quad Games project for players to discover!

Alexander has gained technical skills in C# programming, navigating Unity, screen recording, and troubleshooting in respect to VR headset setup and connecting to Unity via link cable. He has also developed time management, presentation, and research skills.

Through his experiences as an ATLAS intern, Alexander has learned the importance of striving for excellence rather than perfection, and to get back up even if his work doesn't go smoothly. In the future, Alexander is pursuing a career in the computer science field and is particularly interested in artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer engineering, and virtual reality. After long days at work, Alexander enjoys setting high scores on Beat Saber, and plans on eventually completing levels on the Expert+ difficulty.

This is good, but I think we should say what C# is because I have not heard of it and im sure some other people have not as well
