Ally Wang is a junior majoring in Biology. She learned about the ATLAS internship program through department emails and newsletters. She decided to join ATLAS to gain valuable work experience that would help her progress toward her future career goals.

Ally is a Communications Specialist intern for the Neuroscience Program. She is responsible for writing lab descriptions for faculty, communicating with faculty members about any updates or changes, and uploading the finalized content to the program’s website. She has gained technical proficiency in using DRUPAL to update content on the lab faculty website and has strengthened her soft skills in effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Through her experience as an ATLAS intern, Ally has learned that it’s okay to not know everything at the start. She realized that asking questions and being open to feedback is not a weakness but a way to grow faster and improve the quality of her work. Ally is pursuing a career in web development, with a focus on front-end work, and she plans to continue learning and gaining experience in this field. In her free time, Ally loves watching movies and TV series with her friends.
