Archangela Christovani

Archangela Christovani, a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering, joined the ATLAS Internship Program this semester with the goal of gaining new professional experience and building skills outside of the classroom. Encouraged by her academic advisor, she was eager to challenge herself and explore how structured, real-world projects are managed in a professional setting. As a Workflow Analyst Intern on the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Team, Archangela has worked on a variety of projects using FormBuilder, a tool that streamlines digital workflows. Her contributions include editing the School of Literatures Cultures and Linguistics Travel Reimbursement Form, creating a registration form for the SALIDcamp summer program, and building a restaurant order form. These forms improve efficiency and enhance the user experience for students, faculty, and staff across campus. Along the way, she has developed technical skills in FormBuilder, Microsoft Visio, and project management. Just as importantly, she’s grown her communication, problem-solving, and adaptability—learning how to collaborate, adjust to changing project needs, and stay organized across multiple responsibilities. One major lesson Archangela is taking with her is the importance of time management—a skill that has helped her balance internship tasks with academic demands and other commitments. She hopes to become a chemical engineer in the future, and sees this internship as a valuable step in building a well-rounded professional foundation. And in a fun twist for someone so STEM-focused: her least favorite math class is linear algebra—proof that even engineers have their academic hurdles!
