Dhanish Natarajan

Dhanish Natarajan is a junior studying Statistics and Computer Science, with two semesters as an ATLAS intern. Referred to the program by friends, Dhanish sought an internship that balanced flexibility with meaningful project work. As an ML Team Intern for UIUC Facilities & Services, Dhanish analyzed energy usage data, identifying patterns for predictive insights. His responsibilities included creating data visualizations and presenting findings to the team weekly. Through ATLAS, Dhanish has gained technical skills in Python, NumPy, and Matplotlib, while enhancing communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities. His experiences included offering guidance to new interns, collaborating on data projects like the Titanic problem, and developing his skills with UIUC’s Cloud Computing course on Coursera. This internship strengthened his proficiency in data analysis and professional presentation. In the future, Dhanish aspires to work as a software developer, ideally within a startup, aligning with his enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. In his free time, he enjoys socializing with friends and listening to Brent Faiyaz.
