Elizabeth Rodriguez is a junior majoring in Communication and is currently completing her first semester with the ATLAS Internship Program. She discovered the opportunity through department newsletters and was drawn to the program because of its supportive and welcoming environment, an ideal setting for a first internship experience. Elizabeth works with Earnest Agriculture as a Marketing Intern, where she gets creative with content designed to engage the farming community. Her responsibilities include crafting social media posts for platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, writing video scripts on agricultural topics such as soil nutrients, and helping plan future video content centered around farming education. During her time with ATLAS, Elizabeth has developed technical skills in social media management and learned how to conduct effective competitor research. She’s also strengthened her soft skills, especially in patience and collaboration—key traits when working with a team to build consistent messaging and connect with an audience. One lesson that stuck with her is the importance of truly understanding your audience in order to build meaningful engagement. After graduation, Elizabeth plans to pursue a career as a school counselor, combining her communication background with her passion for helping others. A fun fact about her is her favorite restaurant on campus is Jip Bap!
