Emmett Quan is a junior majoring in Computer Science and Music. He heard about the ATLAS Internship Program through the Illinois website. Emmett decided to join the program because he wanted to gain some work experience over the summer. He is currently an AI/ML intern for ATLAS. Emmett's responsibilities include restructuring documents for AI use, writing system prompts, and AI testing and data analysis.
During his internship, Emmett gained technical skills in AI training, RAG testing, and presentation. He also gained experiences in communication and self-led time management.
Emmett's future career plan is that he would like to work in AI safety. A fun fact about Emmett is that his favorite Pokemon is Shuppet!
