Meet Itzel Gonzalez, a senior majoring in Psychology and Communication at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, currently serving as a Website Development Intern for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences through the ATLAS Internship Program. Itzel joined ATLAS to expand her understanding of technology and build professional skills, gaining experience in graphic design, website development, and researching accessibility standards such as WCAG. Through her internship, she has also strengthened her time management and presentation skills, learning the importance of building a strong professional portfolio. Looking ahead, Itzel plans to pursue graduate school to continue developing her academic and career goals. A fun fact about her: she also works as an undergraduate research assistant in a psychology lab.
