Jason Tang

Jason Tang is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and Economics in his second semester with the program. He initially learned about the ATLAS Internship Program through friends and classmates and decided to join to further develop his web development skills while continuing his professional growth. Jason is a web development intern working with Professor Osman. In this role, he is responsible for building the frontend of a learning platform similar to Khan Academy, tailored to the Egyptian curriculum. He also works with databases to store lessons and videos and is developing a system that allows users and teachers to add or remove lessons without requiring direct input from programmers. Through his time in the program, Jason has strengthened his technical skills in React and TypeScript while gaining experience with database services such as Firebase and Supabase. He has also improved his communication and time management skills, learning to stay proactive and organized in his work. From ATLAS, he has learned the importance of keeping teammates consistently updated to ensure smooth collaboration and avoid confusion. After graduation, Jason plans to pursue a career related to computer science and economics. When not focusing on his academics, Jason enjoys playing basketball.
