Jenny Labak

Jenny Labak, a junior double majoring in Economics and Political Science, is wrapping up her first semester as an ATLAS intern. She discovered the program through department newsletters and saw it as an opportunity to broaden her professional experience and explore future career paths. Her placement with Earnest Agriculture as a Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist allowed her to dive into the world of branding, communication, and strategy in a hands-on setting. In her role, Jenny focused on creating engaging social media content across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook. She also took on the challenge of writing long-form video scripts and researching Earnest Agriculture’s target audience to better tailor messaging. This work gave her exposure to real-world marketing dynamics and built up her technical toolbox with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing, content management software like WordPress, and social media scheduling tools. Beyond the tech side, Jenny developed valuable soft skills such as time management, communication, and presentation skills—all of which will serve her well whether she ends up as an analyst or a digital strategist, both of which are on her radar. One key lesson she’ll take away from her internship? Mistakes are okay! What matters most is how you respond and grow from them. Outside of her academic and internship life, Jenny brings her skills to the court quite literally. She’s also a coach at the Atkins Tennis Center on campus, a role that reflects her leadership, discipline, and love for teamwork.
