Jenny Labak

Jenny Labak is a senior majoring in Economics and Political Science. She has been an ATLAS intern for two semesters. Jenny discovered the ATLAS internship program through department emails and newsletters and joined to learn more about data analytics after her prior marketing internship, as well as to develop her technical skills for a potential data-based career in her future. Jenny works as a Data Analyst intern for the ATLAS Data Team. Her responsibilities include completing LinkedIn Learning Tableau training, learning how to create Tableau stories and dashboards, as well as identifying trends in the data from different academic departments. During her experiences, she has gained technical skills in data modeling. She has also developed soft skills in communication, time management, and presentation through her work and interactions with her team and clients. Jenny has learned how to ask questions when learning a new platform to gain a better understanding of its features and functions. This approach has enabled her to effectively use Tableau to fulfill her work duties and model data from various academic departments. In the future, she is considering a master’s program and a post-college career in the data field. Jenny enjoys tennis and is the captain of her club tennis team.
