​​Jessica Medintz is a senior majoring in astronomy with a minor in computer science. Her role as an ATLAS intern this semester is as a Programmer for the Moodle Mobile App. Jessica, along with other programmers, technical staff, and focus group members, will be updating the current Moodle app to make it better organized; however, creating a new app entirely may not be out of the question. Once finished, the app will allow for more productive use by students. Jessica decided she wanted to become an ATLAS intern when she saw the opportunity for a technical internship, and has learned more programming languages and teamwork skills. In terms of her career path, Jessica desires to pursue something along the lines of data science that incorporates astronomy and computer science together, and her experience with ATLAS will help her achieve this goal.
