Jiayi Xu

Jiayi Xu is a senior majoring in Economics and Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Data Analyst with theATLAS Internship Program. As her first internship in the United States, Jiayi joined ATLAS to strengthen her technical foundation andgain meaningful workplace experience aligned with her goals in data and fintech. In her role, she analyzes enrollment data from theDivision of Management Information (DMI), visualizes international student demographics, and creates interactive Tableaudashboards designed for non-technical stakeholders. Through this work, she has developed strong skills in data cleaning,visualization, and professional communication—especially through weekly presentations that helped her learn to clearly explaincomplex insights. Looking ahead, Jiayi plans to pursue a graduate degree in a data-focused field, and a fun fact about her is thatshe loves milk tea, especially classic brown sugar boba.
