Jingfei Zeng, a senior majoring in Economics and Statistics, joined the ATLAS Internship Program to gain practical experience and bridge the gap between academic and professional settings. Recommended by friends and classmates, Jingfei saw the internship as a unique opportunity to gain hands-on skills in data analysis, especially in learning Tableau, a key tool for data visualization.

As an ATLAS Data Analysis Intern, Jingfei’s responsibilities included data cleaning and sorting with Excel, creating visualizations with Tableau, and preparing detailed data analysis reports for clients.

Throughout her internship, Jingfei developed both technical and soft skills. She honed her expertise in data visualization and interpretation, gaining proficiency with tools like Excel and Tableau to process and present data effectively. Her experience working with large datasets improved her attention to detail and time management skills, allowing her to juggle multiple tasks efficiently. She also enhanced her communication abilities through regular meetings with supervisors and by presenting insights to clients, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.

Looking ahead, Jingfei plans to pursue a career in data analysis or investment analysis, where her refined skills in data processing and communication will be valuable. In her free time, she enjoys staying at home, catching up on sleep, and watching movies.
