Leah Jacobs is a senior studying Psychology and Spanish and currently serving her third semester as an Assistant Program Coordinator with Data Explorers at Illinois through the ATLAS Internship Program. In this role, she supports outreach to data professionals, coordinates presentations and events, and contributes to new initiatives, including developing the program’s website, newsletter, and social media presence. Through her internship, Leah has strengthened her technical skills in Microsoft Teams, Webtools, and professional communication platforms, while also gaining confidence in public speaking and mentorship. A key lesson she has learned is that technology is accessible to everyone, and there is always room to grow. After graduation, Leah will join Northern Trust in Chicago as a Human Resources Analyst, and she hopes to return to Spain to visit her former host family in Granada.
