Lifei Chang is a Senior studying Psychology and Statistics.
Lifei is a Data Analyst at ATLAS, working with Professor Mark Borgschulte on his project to determine if the wording of academic articles can predict whether their authors are men or women. Part of her project involves gathering titles and abstracts from a large database of research articles, analyzing the words, and determining if there are any patterns relevant to the research. Over the course of her internship, she hopes to improve her skills in public speaking, text analysis and data visualization.
After graduation, Lifei plans to pursue higher education in labor relations or organizational psychology. She enjoys learning new things at work, and prefers to study at her apartment. The strangest thing she’s experienced at U of I is snow in May.
