Maureen McNerney

Maureen McNerney is a Junior studying Creative Writing. She works as a Community Communications Specialist for Urbana High School. Her responsibilities include meeting with the principal and other staff members at Urbana High School and developing monthly newsletters with them. She’s currently helping the principal put a children’s book together to inspire the young kids in the area to achieve their dreams. Throughout her internship as a Communications Specialist, she’s gained much knowledge on productivity, confidence, and hard work. In her future, she plans to pursue a career with communication and writing. A fun fact about Maureen is that she loves music and is in a hip-hop collective class at UIUC.
