Miela Huner

Meet Miela Huner, a sophomore majoring in History in her first semester with the program. She initially discovered the ATLAS Internship Program through the website and decided to join to gain more work experience. Miela is a communications and social media intern for the School of Social Work. In this role, she is responsible for creating student and alumni spotlights, as well as developing ways to support and highlight PhD candidates’ research. Through her time in the program, Miela has gained valuable technical skills in conducting interviews to gather perspectives and stories, organizing information, and translating those insights into clear and engaging communications content. She has also strengthened her communication and time management skills. From ATLAS, she has learned the importance of listening to people’s perspectives when creating meaningful and effective content. After graduation, Miela plans to attend law school. Outside of her academic and professional interests, she enjoys pizza, which she considers her favorite food.
