Nicholas Wong is a junior majoring in Statistics. Nicholas is an AI Research Intern. Nicholas is constructing a full-stack web application generating 3 “spotlight” paragraphs at a time for ATLAS using OpenAI’s ChatGPT 3.5-turbo API, NodeJS, and ExpressJS for backend, HTML, CSS, and regular JS for frontend.
Currently, Nicholas is training a fine-tuned AI large language model using LLaMA AI’s open-source platform using 1,000+ real and artificial datasets for future ATLAS interns to use.
After graduation, Nicholas plans to become a Data Scientist. Through the internship, Nicholas has gained professional development skills.
Fun fact: The most interesting class Nicholas is taking this semester is STAT 443, which is Professional Statistics!
