Nick Roder is a junior majoring in Astronomy who joined the ATLAS Internship Program to gain practical experience in a professional setting and learn more about workplace dynamics. He discovered the opportunity through family connections and has found it to be a valuable step in his professional growth. In his role as a Client Relations Specialist for ATLAS, Nick has been actively involved in reviewing past partnerships between ATLAS and other organizations, developing tools and resources for future Client Relations Management (CRM) specialists, and fostering new connections between ATLAS and external entities. His responsibilities allow him to contribute to and strengthen ATLAS’s professional network. During Nick’s internship, he has developed technical skills in programming with Python and using Excel, along with enhancing his communication abilities. The internship has also provided him with hands-on experience in research, data management, and professional development, all of which align well with his career aspirations. Looking ahead, Nick plans to pursue a research focused career, either in Astronomy or Data Science. Outside of his academic interests, Nick enjoys mountain climbing and has taken on the challenge of climbing in Colorado.
