Nicolas Bless is a senior Communication major and a returning ATLAS Internship Program intern. Nic initially decided to join the program to gain valuable real-world working experience and get a better idea of the kind of work he'd like to do in the future. He decided to continue in the ATLAS Internship Program because he found the work he was doing to be valuable and interesting. He continues to do his best to learn more about the professional world and gain more skills along the way. Nic has ATLAS itself as a client and worked as a part of the Digital Communications Team there in order to produce the monthly ATLAS Newsletters as well as played a part in creating content for the ATLAS social media profiles. In order to perform these tasks he had to learn more about professional writing, managing a project timeline, and professional communication. He also made use of new tools such as Webtools which is used to create the monthly newsletters, Canva for designing graphics to use in social media content, and Meta Business Suite to manage the ATLAS social media accounts, among many others. In the future, Nic hopes to continue on his communications journey and find a job where he can make use of the skills he's learned. Project Management or Internal Communications are the areas of interest for him in order to maximize the effective communication within a group. A fun fact is that Nic was also partially in charge of writing the Student Spotlights for ATLAS, including his own which he's writing in third-person. To a good future Nic!
