Prashant Pokhriyal is a junior studying statistics and computer science. He heard about the ATLAS Internship Program through an email advertisement, as well as the positive words of his peers. He is currently working with the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Over the summer, he began creating an app for the Fighting Illini Sports Tech program to manage all of their machines and computers. The sports program formerly used Excel to manage all these computers and machines, but Prashant was able to break ground on his app to make everyone’s lives easier. He is now working with Amazon Web Services to verify Mac addresses and see what these computers have access too. Although this project is new to Prashant, he is excited and eager to start working on it! He hopes to be a programmer and entrepreneur in the future. He has learned to rely on his own skills and ingenuity to complete tasks and plans on taking this skill with him in all his future endeavors.
