Rami Alkadri is a freshman majoring in Economics. He learned about the ATLAS Data Team internship program through a career advisor. As a Data Team Intern, Rami's primary responsibility is to create various visualizations of ATLAS generated data using Tableau. He collaborates with one other member on the data team to analyze a large data set of information collected on past ATLAS interns. Currently, Rami is working on creating different visualizations using the data provided by the DMI. Some of the Tableau dashboards he has developed include a heat map of where UIUC international students come from and an examination of how competitive admissions at UIUC have become over the last decade. In the future, Rami hopes to become a data analyst for a sports team. Through his work with ATLAS, Rami has developed valuable skills in using Tableau and conducting himself within a professional setting. He was interested in gaining internship experience that he could add to his resume.
