​​​​​Raymond Jurkiewicz is currently a senior studying mathematics. He heard about the ATLAS Internship Program through ATLAS’s own Randy McCarthy. Raymond is currently working with Rebecca Thornton, who is a developmental economics professor with focuses on education health and gender, as a Data Analyst. His project is looking at data from the past five years on students who took either ECON 101 or 102. From that data, Raymond looks to see how many of those students graduated as an economics major and how many of those who graduated were male vs. female. He then is taking the data of male vs. female economics graduates and is using Sankey diagrams to visualize what he discovers. Although Raymond is not positive on what he wants to do in the future, he knows he wants to incorporate data analysis, logistics, and math into his future enedeavors. Raymond says that he will take his newly-acquired Tableau skills with him and is thankful for the internship's part in the bettering of his Tableau technique.
