
Sanhorn Chen is a senior majoring in Computer Science and Economics. He joined the ATLAS Internship Program through a friend’s recommendation, driven by his interest in data analytics and a desire for experiences with data cleaning and visualization.
As a Data Team Intern for ATLAS, Sanhorn collaborated closely with ATLAS to analyze and clean real-world datasets, using tools like Excel and Python for data preparation and Tableau for data visualization. His role included understanding complex datasets, creating visual representations of data insights, and presenting actionable solutions to clients to enhance decision-making.
Throughout Sanhorn’s internship, he developed essential technical skills, such as using Python for data processing, Excel formulas, and Tableau for building visualizations. His soft skills also improved through team collaboration, role-based task delegation, and regular client communication. This experience had not only prepared him to be an effective data analyst but has also underscored the value of organization, clear communication, and teamwork.
Looking forward, Sanhorn aims to pursue a career as an AI/ML researcher, where his internship experience in data analytics and project collaboration will support his journey. In his spare time, he enjoys watching the New York Yankees.
