Scarlett Hall

Scarlet Hall is a sophomore English major working her first semester at ATLAS. Hearing about the program from her academic advisor, she chose to sign up to gain more experience with computational and technological skills in a professional environment. She was especially interested in finding ways to integrate these new skills into her future academic and career pursuits. Scarlet is placed with the Center for the Study of Global Gender Equity (CSGGE), where she works as a Communications and Marketing intern. One of her key responsibilities is managing the weekly “Motivational Monday” posts, which highlight influential women on CSGGE’s social media platforms. This involves conducting biographical research, designing graphics and excerpts, and tailoring content to match the client’s branding and messaging needs. Beyond content creation, she also develops strategies to boost engagement and visibility, maintains consistent activity by interacting with other accounts, and is currently working on end-ofyear outreach for students affiliated with the CSGGE—gathering feedback that will provide valuable insights for her client. Through this internship, Scarlet has gained hands-on experience in social media management and content production. She’s also sharpened her skills in professional communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and public presentation. One of the biggest lessons she’s taking away from this experience is how to apply digital tools effectively while working as part of a team toward a shared goal. Looking to the future, Scarlet hopes to earn her degree and find a job that allows her to write for an organization that aligns with her principles. And when she’s off the clock, there’s a good chance you’ll find her enjoying one of her favorite pastimes—watching movies.
