Smarak Pattnaik is a Sophomore studying Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics.

Smarak is a Data Analyst at ATLAS, working with Professor Mark Borgschulte on a project involving facial analysis and age estimation, in order to obtain data to analyze the aging of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Smarak first learned about the ATLAS program through a friend, and has been a part of the program since Spring 2019. This semester, Smarak hopes to develop proficiency in Python, R, Tableau, as well as his skills in time management and work efficiency.

After graduation, Smarak plans to pursue a career in data analysis and software development. Smarak is motivated by hard deadlines and the urge to learn. His favorite food is sushi.
