Meet Sydney Meekma, a senior majoring in Econometrics & Quantitative Economics, who is currently serving as a Communications Specialist for the Neuroscience Graduate Program through the ATLAS Internship Program. Sydney joined ATLAS to strengthen her teamwork and communication skills while gaining hands-on experience with digital tools. In her role, she manages content for the department’s internal newsletter, submits articles for the neuroscience website, and collaborates on managing the Neuroscience Instagram to highlight community events. Through this internship, she has gained technical experience in web content management and social media promotion, while further developing strong communication and time management skills. After graduation, Sydney will be working full-time as a Finance Associate at Constellation, and outside of work, she enjoys running and is currently training for a marathon.
