Terra Scranton is a senior majoring in molecular & cellular-biology with honors distinction, as well as minoring in chemistry, psychology, and informatics. She is a first semester ATLAS intern. She heard of ATLAS through her informatics advisor, and currently works as the Social Media Intern for the ATLAS internship program itself. She runs the internship program’s Facebook page, Twitter account, and Reddit account. She posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and responds to any questions that people might ask. As she is responsible for the internship program’s social media presence, Terra has also learnt analytics by keeping track of likes, retweets, and upvotes. Terra plans on going into a medical profession and knows that being able to stay organized and efficient will be helpful for any future endeavors. Terra has to keep track of all the posts that have been made across the three accounts, making sure there aren’t any repeat posts in a short time frame, while also keeping a record for future social media interns. Being able to expand her skill set will help Terra in multiple career paths and she is excited to grow the Internship program’s social media presence.
