Meet Tom Rose, a senior majoring in Creative Writing at Illinois and a Client Relations Manager with the ATLAS Internship Program. Now in his fourth semester with ATLAS, Tom has focused on developing resources to help interns understand client relations, expanding the CRM team’s archive of tools, and reaching out to English Department faculty for potential collaborations. Through this role, he strengthened his professional writing, communication, and time management skills, as well as his proficiency with tools such as Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. One key lesson he takes away from ATLAS is the importance of managing personal habits alongside professional responsibilities to support long-term growth. Looking ahead, Tom hopes to begin a career—ideally in publishing—while continuing to write creatively, and outside of work he enjoys late-night rides with Inline Insomniacs, a local skating and cycling group.
