Xinxin is a senior who is currently studying mathematics and statistics. She joined the internship program through a recommendation from her friend. She is working with the Student Money Management Center (SMMC) as a Data Analyst. She is working on a team to analyze data from the three universities within the University of Illinois system: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Chicago, and University of Springfield. The data she is analyzing is to discern any patterns from what the students are being charged for from their student accounts. She wants to have a career in data analysis because she enjoys what she is doing and wants to continue doing something similar in the future. Xinxin is grateful that the internship program has her dealing with real data rather than data she has been given in her classes. Lastly, Xinxin’s favorite food is chocolate cake (or anything sweet)!
