Zoe Caryl

Zoe Caryl is a junior majoring in Climate, Meteorology, and Atmospheric Sciences. Zoe heard about the ATLAS Internship Program through Handshake. Zoe is a Communications Intern for The Liberal Arts and Sciences Career Center. Zoe formats and assists with visual layout of blogs and digital display content, develops creative thematic posts for Instagram, promotes materials in the career resource center to encourage student engagement, assists with weekly e-newsletter content gathering and writing, edits and publishes video interviews with alumni, employers, and visiting speakers, designs flyers for special events throughout the semester, and develops how-to videos for the students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Currently, Zoe is developing posts for Instagram to draw involvement in the career center, making videos on how to get to 105 Gregory Hall and the LAS Hub from different places on campus, documenting the Hub's renovation through photography, and making spreadsheets to analyze Instagram analytics.

After graduating from Illinois, Zoe would like to get master's degrees in Environmental Science and Public Administration. Zoe's goal is to work for the Environmental Protection Agency or somewhere in the renewable energy field. Through the internship, Zoe is learning how to develop video, which is something they have never done before, in addition to growing their skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Fun fact: Zoe enjoys the outdoors, running, reading, photography, and absolutely adores color theory. Zoe got the game "Hues and Cues" for Christmas this past year and loved it. You'll have to check it out!
