Our goal is to connect more LAS undergrads with work experience opportunities that pairs their academic coursework with technology experiences. This initiative involves working with our units to learn how skills developed through academic coursework transfers to business and organizational settings. It also involves outreach to campus and community organizations who might benefit from the work of LAS students.
This semester's interns have been pursuing majors and minors in: Communication, English, Math, Political Sciences, Spanish, and Informatics. They have had a variety of projects including:
- working with units on website content strategy and website development,
- using technology to improve communications both within the organization and with clients,
- analyzing help documentation and converting materials to more optimized searchable knowledgebase, and
- creating a database of organizational data to be used for internal metrics.
We are currently seeking both client placements and student applications for summer and fall 2018.
