Kristine Tan is a sophomore studying Psychology who learned about the WGGP internship through a friend who was an ATLAS intern the previous year. She was recommended to apply to the program and has been working as an Event Planning Intern for the Women and Gender in Global Perspectives (WGGP) organization. Her responsibilities include collaborating with people from the social media and event publicity section to plan and execute events, research and add information to the WGGP website, create individual posters and newsletters for events, and assist with hosting social events. Currently, she is using web tools to create individual posters for upcoming events, inserting pictures and accurate content, creating hyperlinks, and formatting the posters for readability. Through this internship, Kristine has improved her communication skills and overcome her fear of making mistakes during conversations. Her goal is to continue working on campus, but she needs help finding and applying to jobs.
