Here is Morgan Steinman, an incoming senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign! Being deep in their second semester in the ATLAS Internship Program, Morgan first heard about this opportunity through their academic advisor, making the major decision to apply for the organization. As they were placed on the Learning Management System Team as a specialist, they gained professional experience in the workplace while also taking extra classes in their spare time. Working with the ATLAS team as an LMS specialist, Morgan is tasked with integrating clients into ATLAS course spaces, increasing the usability of the Canvas technologies, and finding ways to grow interaction with materials through the program. They have personally developed themselves through this internship, gaining technical knowledge in Tableau while also demonstrating effective time management skills when tasks require equal attention. Aside from working with a team in a professional environment, this opportunity is new and exciting for them, furthering their goals of someday working in Data Analytics after graduating in mathematics until continuing their journey into graduate school for information sciences. Away from their ATLAS internship work and school, Morgan also loves to read in their free time, with their favorite book being Name of the Wind.
