Scarlett Garcia is a junior majoring in Sociology. They were introduced to ATLAS through Andrea Pellegrini, the Communication Specialist. In their role as Communication Specialist, Scarlett is responsible for managing the Facebook posting and drafting e-newsletters for students, parents, and employees of UIUC, UIC, and UIS. Scarlett is currently planning a series of posts aimed at near-graduates to discuss what their next monetary steps might look like. In the future, Scarlett hopes to become a social worker. Through their work in ATLAS, they have gained valuable experience in teamwork, communication, and collaboration with other employees. They joined the ATLAS internship program to expand their horizons and take advantage of new opportunities.
