Steven Qie is a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) majoring in Statistics and Computer Science. He's honing his data analysis skills as a Data Analyst Intern at ATLAS Data Services this fall. There, he leverages his knowledge of SQL, Python (pandas), and Tableau to clean, analyze, and visualize data. Steven is currently tackling a project that involves gathering and comparing ethnicity information across various institutions with UIUC's data.
Driven by a passion for problem-solving, Steven aspires to pursue a career in software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, or fintech. Beyond academics, he demonstrates a keen interest in data visualization, evident by his proficiency in Tableau. And for those who enjoy a good challenge, Steven can impress with his Rubik's Cube solving skills – a feat he accomplishes in a mere 8 seconds!
