Wesley Au is a junior studying economics. He was working under Professor Borgschulte, an economics professor, as a research assistant but he recommended him becoming an intern with ATLAS! Wesley is now working with Professor Borgschulte as a Data Analyst, creating a data set containing articles written by researchers from top journals. He is then going to analyze the data by creating a network and seeing how it influences other variables such as co-authorship. From this process, he will see who published in top journals most often and if university researchers get promoted or receive higher salaries. Wesley is hoping to be a data analyst after college since he has enjoyed working on analysis with Professor Borgschulte. During his time with ATLAS, he has been able to work through the confusion he faces in projects and learn to not get discouraged. His favorite part of the ATLAS Internship Program is the flexibility and that ATLAS recognizes that students are incredibly busy people. Lastly, his go-to restaurant is OZU Ramen!
