Time Expectations

ATLAS Interns are expected to spend 10 - 15 hours a week on their internship.  Plans should be made for the majority of those hours to be during traditional business hours so that interns can work with professionals.  The exact hours are generally flexible and can be worked out with your assigned client.

During the course of the semester ATLAS Interns are required to submit the following to ATLAS.  Some clients require additional materials but time spent on the creation of both ATLAS and Client materials count towards the weekly 10 - 15 hours of work.

  • A weekly status report (expected time investment 10 minutes or less each week)
  • Personalized goals and objectives ( 30 - 60 minutes depending on personal style and approach)
  • A midterm self-evaluation ( 30 - 60 minutes depending on personal style and approach)
  • A 10 minute final showcase presentation with their teammates
  • A 1 - 2 page paper with notes to future interns and suggested next steps for the project
