When creating subfolders, it’s important to avoid names that have spaces in them. This is particularly true of folders shared departmentally. Names with spaces often prove more difficult to link and share.
Example of a BAD file and folder name (with lots of nasty spaces in between words):
C:\temp\My New Folder\This is My Document.docx
Example of GOOD file and folder name(s):
C:\temp\My_New_Folder\This_Is_My_Document.docx
C:\temp\MyNewFolder\ThisIsMyDoc.docx
If the name is more than one word, underscores can replace spaces if desired. Capital letters may also help with legibility.
Just a friendly reminder to keep it simple and neat when naming your folders!
