Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist your client in establishing and maintaining good communication with intended audiences
  • Plan, curate, and distribute internal and external newsletters to improve communication with clients, raise awareness of related issues and concerns on campus, and strengthen client organization

 A successful Communication Specialist will gain knowledge and experience with:

  • Writing technical documentation for non-technical audiences
  • Tools for electronic newsletter creation and distribution
  • Preparing and reporting on newsletter analytics
  • Collaboration skills needed for working with diverse and physically distributed teams

Requirements/Qualifications

Qualifications: LAS student with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be independent and self-motivated but also have the ability to work with various people on a variety of tasks.

 

Social Media Specialist

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting client in creating and maintaining their social media platforms
  • Create, review, and carry out plans regarding their accounts
  • Analyze shares, reads, and other related analytics
  • Strategize how to best reach and grow audience

A successful Social Media Specialist will gain experience with:

  • Presenting the image of a client to the world
  • Assisting clients in how best to utilize social media to expand their department or company
  • Gain familiarity with different social media platforms
  • Understanding appropriate application of social media analytics

Requirements/Qualifications:

LAS Student with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong research skills and critical/analytical thinking ability. Must be independent and self-motivated but also have ability to work with various people on a variety of tasks.

 

Website: Content Strategist/Developer

Website Content Strategist

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze websites of peers/competitors as requested by client
  • Make inventory of content on existing websites
  • Determine goals, importance, and audience of website content
  • Propose organizational structure to meet desire goals
  • Identify gaps and shortcomings in existing content
  • Write/rewrite content for the new site
  • Populate website with new content
  • Develop a plan recommendation for client to maintain content

A successful Website Content Strategist will gain knowledge and experience with:

  • Current website design trends
  • Modern website development standards
  • Web development tools and languages such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Drupal, WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Website accessibility requirements and implementation techniques
  • Client communication skills

Requirements/Qualifications:

Website Developer 

 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the client to create or modify a modern design appealing to the client and their intended audience
  • Create and modify a website template using tools specified by the client
  • Develop and/or implement website widgets to provide specific functionality
  • Input client content
  • Test and modify the website to meet accessibility requirements
  • Train client on tools required to maintain website content
  • Document the process and environment for future developers

 A successful Website Developer will gain knowledge and experience with:

  • Current website design trends
  • Modern website development standards
  • Web development tools and languages such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Drupal, WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the client to create or modify databases or data systems
  • Produce reports after collecting and analyzing data
  • Analyze and interpret data trends
  • Streamline data collection methods to create easy-to-use routines
  • Document process and identify areas of improvement based on data outcomes

 A successful Data Analyst will gain knowledge and experience with:

  • SQL, MS SQL, MS SQL Reporting Services, Tableau
  • Data visualization, Critical thinking, problem solving
  • Machine Learning 
  • Program language
  • Spread sheets
  • Client communication skills of collaboration and reporting data
